Lasso

Privacy Policy

Last updated October 8, 2026

The short version: your tasks, lists, bills, birthdays, and trips stay on your iPhone and in your own iCloud account. Lasso doesn't have its own servers, doesn't sell your information, and doesn't use ads or tracking.

This policy explains what information the Lasso app ("Lasso," "we," "us") uses and why. Lasso is made by an independent developer. You can reach us anytime at support@lassolist.app.

Information stored on your device

Everything you add to Lasso is saved on your iPhone, including tasks, shopping items, bills, renewals, birthdays and gift ideas, flights, trips, packing lists, your home address for airport leave times, and your settings. We can't see this information, and it isn't sent to us.

If iCloud is turned on for Lasso, this information is also kept in your private iCloud account, so it can sync to your other Apple devices and come back if you get a new iPhone or reinstall the app. It's stored by Apple under your Apple ID, and we can't see it. You can turn this off anytime in your iPhone's Settings → your name → iCloud.

If you use the Lasso widget, the app shares a short summary of today's tasks with the widget on your iPhone so it can show them on your home screen or lock screen. This also stays on your device.

Permissions Lasso may ask for

Lasso only asks for these when you use a feature that needs them, and you can change your choice anytime in your iPhone's Settings.

Apple services

Some features use services built into your iPhone. Photo scanning uses Apple's on-device text recognition and, on supported iPhones, Apple Intelligence, which runs on your device. Drive times and directions use Apple Maps. These services are covered by Apple's Privacy Policy.

Subscriptions

Lasso Plus is sold through the App Store. Apple handles your payment, and we never see your payment details. To check whether you have Lasso Plus, Lasso uses RevenueCat, a subscription service. RevenueCat receives an anonymous ID created for the app, your purchase and subscription history, and basic device information such as your iPhone model and iOS version. It doesn't receive your tasks or other content. You can read RevenueCat's Privacy Policy.

Links to stores and websites

When you tap a store in "Where to buy," check a flight's status, or open directions, Lasso opens that website or app with the item or place you're looking up. Those sites have their own privacy policies. Lasso doesn't receive any information back from them.

What we don't do

Deleting your information

To delete everything in Lasso, open Settings → Delete all my data in the app. This removes your information from your iPhone and from your iCloud, including your other devices. Deleting the app on its own removes the copy on that iPhone, but the copy in your iCloud stays so you can get it back if you reinstall. To remove that too, use Delete all my data first, or remove Lasso's data in your iPhone's Settings → your name → iCloud → Manage Storage. To cancel Lasso Plus, go to your iPhone's Settings → your name → Subscriptions.

Children

Lasso isn't directed to children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect personal information from children.

Changes to this policy

If we change how Lasso uses information, we'll update this page and the date at the top.
